Are There Different Types of Homeowner’s Insurance?

Yes. Most companies sell different types of insurance. Many insurance companies get their insurance policy forms (the language of the policy) from the Insurance Services Organization (ISO). Under the ISO forms there are a number of tiers of coverage: a standard dwelling policy, H01 policy, H03 and H05 policies. All of these are typical, get-what-you-pay-for kinds of policies. The higher the tier you purchase, the more coverage you get.
