- | Truck Accidents
One instance when we’d seek punitive damages is when you have a truck driver not following the regulations because the trucking company was telling the driver to drive more hours than permitted. That scenario would show a conscious disregard for the safety of others, justifying our effort to recover punitive damages on our client’s behalf.
Pain and Suffering Damages
Pain and suffering comes in a little of different forms and damages are based on the type and extent of the pain and suffering.
First, there is physical pain, and the suffering that accompanies your pain, incurred that day of the accident and going forward. For example, if you have a disfigurement or loss of a limb, this is physical pain that will cause you to basically live your life in a different manner.
Another type of pain and suffering is mental anguish which relates to visible disfigurement and loss of the ability to do activities that you normally enjoy doing or need to do.
