The retainer agreement spells out the details of the relationship as attorney and client and covers most importantly, when it’s a personal injury lawsuit, the contingency fee arrangement.
A contingency fee is the percentage the lawyer will be paid in the case for judgment or settlement. There is a section that addresses costs: how the costs will be advanced by the lawyer.
In our retainer agreements, we also spell out explicitly that we want the utmost candor from our client, especially in complex cases like those handled by our Reno brain injury lawyers. Everything will work much more smoothly when we know everything. When it comes to the details of your case, we want the good, the bad, and the ugly.
